Practical Open Source Information: New Event

The Open Source Initiative will be holding a half-day virtual event on September 16th to discuss Practical Open Source Information (POSI). Our audience for this series is companies, nonprofits and academic institutions that are interested in using more open source. By hearing from current practitioners, new adopters will be able to get up to speed more quickly and (hopefully) avoid some of the mistakes others have made.

Open source has grown well beyond “just the licenses” and so this series will be a forum for open source practitioners to discuss all the details of implementing open source. Sessions will focus on “nuts and bolts” knowledge that organizations of all sizes need whether they’re already using lots of open source or are just getting started on their open source journey. Our Call For Presentations was open through July 15th.
